I think if you saw the statue in its’ surroundings, you’d remember. But maybe your brain forgot everything it had seen earlier in the day when it gazed upon the Mille Feuille dessert that was shared by you and a certain unnamed party at the sidewalk cafe just outside the garden gates a very short time later!!!

I agree – great photo! Luxembourg is pretty familiar to me, but I am struggling to place this chap. Perhaps he is on top of the Medici fountain…?
