Are you getting hyacinths already where you are? I think we have another 4 months to go here. Of course, with the snow falling across your blog, it’s hard to tell if you’re still in winter or this is last years pic?
Oh, wait – you live in the Pacific Northwest…you hardly get any sow, right? I remember certain flowers blooming in February there!
The prediction this year was for colder, dryer weather. We actually bought snow tires. Now we’ve had unseasonably warm temps. Oh well! Yes, I’m looking forward to grabbing some little bulb pots soon…..they are forced in the pots, but we start getting them in late December. I love to enjoy them in the house, then plant them in the garden to enjoy again next year. We are blessed!
This photo was taken in mid December. Yesterday I hit my little local grocery store, and they had mini daffs, mini iris and hyacinth. The hyacinth in the picture were in front of a high end florist in a tonier part of the city, but at my little source, they were $3.99 a pot of 3. Now I know you’ll be jealous, but I think it helps make up for all the rain we get! I scooped 4 pots to give as New Year’s gifts, but I think I’ll be back for more today for me!

My thoughts exactly, Spectra. We (in southern ON) won’t be seeing these babies potted up until April, sigh. April!!
